Downstream

downstreamThe downstream sector refers to the refining of crude oil and the sale and distribution of natural gas and products derived from crude oil. Such products include liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline or petrol, jet fuel, diesel oil, other fuel oils, asphalt and petroleum coke.

The downstream sector is comprised of oil refineries, petrochemical plants, distribution networks and retail outlets. It handles products such as petrol, diesel and other fuels, and petroleum-based products, such as lubricants, synthetic rubber, plastics, fertilizers, antifreeze and pesticides. It also includes pharmaceuticals and natural gas and propane.

Since the beginning, MUSANDUM Group has played a significant role in the development of downstream hydrocarbon technology. We supply pipes and valves that are able to resist to harsh operating conditions caused by climate, water pressure and corrosion, as well as the aggressive chemical properties of the fluids being transported.
